Ten years after your wedding or special occasion, it may surprise you to discover what moves your heart once again when you look back on it. Over the years I have found that it’s often the details, the small things that cause you to pause, laugh, or cry, and remember as you look over your album and other memories.

What were the details that you sweated out in your planning? The dress most likely had its own story; how you found it and chose it from so many others. The rings – another story, I’ll wager. And the shoes. I have been amazed at how much attention goes into what is worn and not much seen while walking down the aisle. Jewelry chosen with care. Flowers, often another story.

And so there are epic stories in the details, to be told at length and hopefully with laughter as you remember one of your favorite days through the pictures that were taken.

Laura Scotten, one of our photographers recently photographed a wedding in Vancouver, and I wanted to celebrate her work publicly as she has so creatively captured some of the beautiful detail that made this wedding meaningful. Stunning beauty, creativity, & even humor in the details.

Many stories will be told.
